Abstract:
The Easter Sunday attack (21st of April, 2019) created a catastrophic commotion, which affected social, economic, and religious apparatus in Sri Lanka. The different reactions of ethnic and religious groups to this matter of national importance intensified its damage, creating instability among these groups. This instability is mainly created due to the unnecessary and rash involvement of the general public in this matter, which aroused fear and suspense among people. The aim of this paper is to seek a possible solution to this problem through the teachings of Taoism; with special reference to the concept of the ‘inaction.’ A careful analysis shows that the concept of inaction in Taoism can be effectively applied to provide a solution to the increasing chaos in the country.
